A round of applause to all the awesome educators out there!! This week, May 2-6, is Teacher Appreciation Week and Learning Power is proud to recognize all the incredibly hard-working and dedicated teachers across the state of Georgia! We know how challenging the ever-changing education environment has been, and we are thankful for the amazing work our educators continue to do! To celebrate their incredible commitment to learning, we are giving away a prize to one extra-awesome teacher that can be used to purchase resources for their classroom. We’re calling on all parents, co-workers, and fellow teachers to give a shout out to the exceptional educators in their lives!

Respond with a comment to submit the teacher nominee you feel best fits that day’s category. When nominating a teacher, please be sure to include the teacher’s name, school, grade level, and school district so that we can contact them.
You may submit as many teachers as you like, but only one will be chosen.
All entries are due by 5 pm EST on Friday, May 6.
A winner will be chosen at random from the nominees and will be contacted through the school listed with their submission.

Terms and Conditions
ENTRY: No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase the chances of winning
ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open only to legal U.S. residents over the age of 18. Nominees must teach at a school in Georgia. The officers, directors, employees, and their immediate family members of Georgia Power or its affiliates are not eligible to enter or win unless otherwise noted. (Family members include: spouse, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses.)
CAMPAIGN PERIOD: Nominations will be accepted on between May 2 and May 6, 2022. All entries must be received by 5pm on May 6, 2022.
HOW TO ENTER: To nominate a Georgia educator, you may respond to each day’s superlative post by submitting a teacher nominee you feel best fits that day’s category. When nominating a teacher, please be sure to include the teacher’s name, school, grade level, and school district so that we can contact them. Alternatively, you may enter the current Facebook contest by emailing your submission to: gpclearningpower@gmail.com. You may submit as many teachers as you like during this campaign, but only one will be chosen.
WINNER SELECTION: Employees of Georgia Power will randomly select the winner from the eligible nominees. All decisions are final. A list of winners can be obtained by emailing gpclearningpower@gmail.com.
PRIZES: The winner of this campaign will receive merchandise specified in the entry drawing in which they inquired, entered, and/or commented. The prize is non-transferrable and may not be exchanged for cash. No substitutions are allowed except at Georgia Power’s discretion. Contests are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: The winner will be notified within 7 days of the end of the Superlative period. Inability to contact a winner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. The winner may be required to show proof of identification.
Participants hereby grant Georgia Power a non-exclusive, perpetual license to broadcast, publish, store, reproduce, distribute, and otherwise use information/comments given in all media now known and later come into being for purposes of trade or advertising without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Georgia Power is under no obligation to use any submission.
Winners may be required to execute and return a Certificate of Eligibility, Consent and General Release form (if deemed necessary) within 14 days of notification. Non-compliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Any income tax liability is the sole responsibility of the winner.

1099: Upon receiving a gift card, the winner may be required to sign a receipt and receive a 1099 for tax purposes.
