What can you expect during a Learning Power session? Bright faces illuminating the classroom, innovative energy and energy efficiency lessons…and a lot of questions!
Since kicking off in 2011, Learning Power has partnered with educators to reach over ONE MILLION students across the state of Georgia. Nineteen statewide Education Coordinators deliver hands-on, STEM-based energy and energy efficiency lessons at all grade levels, Pre-K through high school. Aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence in science and math, interactive labs and creative class activities amp up STEM learning and career exploration.
Opening doors to opportunities, Learning Power challenges students, parents/caregivers and educators to think about energy and their environment in new ways. Learning Power’s curriculum educates students on energy efficiency in school and at home, and delivers engaging personal connections with science and math. Creative online activities, the Learning Power app (on Google Play and iTunes), and augmented reality have expanded Learning Power’s reach. The programs, lesson plans, and activities are provided at no cost to teachers or schools.
