<p>Welcome Shenequa Gordon, Learning Power’s cool chemist who loves the Falcons and Prince (who doesn’t!).</p><p>Her first job after college graduation? A chemist for Miller Brewing Company...but Shenequa soon realized that her true passion was teaching future chemists.</p><p>Having taught high school physical science and chemistry for 12 years in Dougherty County, Shenequa loves seeing young minds make the connection between science and real-world applications. “Teaching students about science is my calling,” she explains. “I was so proud when one of my high school students entered a project in the school science fair that calculated the wind velocity of a thrown football.”</p><p>A graduate of Albany State University, Shenequa earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Master of Science degree in Education.</p><p>You’ll find her spreading her love of all things STEM as a Learning Power coordinator for Georgia's southwest region: Baker, Clay, Crisp, Decatur, Dooley, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Lee, Marion, Miller, Mitchell, Pelham, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Seminole, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, Turner, Webster and Worth Counties.</p><p>Chill time might be with a good mystery book or some R&B tunes. But on Sunday’s, you’ll find Shenequa sporting her #11 jersey (forever a Julio fan) and cheering on the Falcons alongside her husband Keydrick Sr. and her son Keydrick Jr. And there’s really tasty food at Shenequa’s tailgate parties – we hear she’s quite the chef!</p><p>Grab your goggles, Bunsen burner and beakers…Shenequa is ready to cook up creative STEM lessons for your classroom!</p>
