A globe-trotting, R&B-loving, Laker’s fan. Meet Nikki Brigham.
With more than 11 years of educator experience, Nikki has been a teacher, adult education instructor, teacher mentor, and leadership manager. She most recently taught Mathematics at Burke County Middle School, but her career includes teaching positions in South Korea and China.
Inspired by the words of Nelson Mandela, “education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world,” Nikki loves watching her students develop a love for learning and thrive in their careers. “I believe that every student is unique and deserves an inspiring, loving and engaging learning environment. As an educator, my goal is to help students meet their fullest potential by encouraging them to view the world around them as a place of learning and discovery.”
You can count on positivity, excitement and high expectations as Nikki delivers Learning Power’s energy efficiency education curriculum to schools in Richmond, Columbia, Lincoln, Jefferson, Taliaferro, Warren, Glasscock, and McDuffie counties.
A lifelong learner, Nikki is pursuing her Educational Leadership Certification at University of West Georgia. Her diploma wall is impressive and includes an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Augusta Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Polytechnic State University, a Master of Arts in Middle Grades Math and Science from Mercer University, a Master’s in Public Health from the University of West Florida, and a Specialist in Advanced Educational Studies from Augusta University.
Nikki enjoys travel, spending time with family, and learning about new cultures. When it’s time to relax, you’ll hear the soulful sounds of R&B and gospel in her home…but at game time, it’s all business with a sea of gold and purple as this die-hard fan cheers on her favorite team. “I grew up watching the Lakers, and I am a forever Lakers, Kobe and Shaq fan!”
