Melissa Middlebrooks

Coordinator

Dr. Melissa Middlebrooks was born to be a teacher. As a child, she was teaching younger family members and children at her mother’s daycare.

Melissa uses her personable and animated personality to connect with students of all ages. You’ll find that she loves to build things with students and makes up songs on the spot for lasting impressions and instilled trust of your students. It’s her desire to inspire our future leaders by being real, open, energetic, and by lifting each student up.

“Teaching comes extremely natural to me. I love to see children of all ages light up. It’s my personal belief that all children can learn if you meet them where they are.  As an educator, I treat all children the way I want others to treat my own children. I take personal ownership of every student I encounter. I love and respect them with integrity,” says Middlebrooks.

Dr. Melissa Middlebrooks has a Bachelor of Science in Primary Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University and a Master of Science in Primary Education from Fort Valley State University. She received her Specialist in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University, and her Doctorate of Education in Instructional Leadership with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Nova Southeastern University.

Middlebrooks serves Central Georgia as Learning Power Education Coordinator. Her counties include Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Hancock, Houston, Jasper, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Putnam, Twiggs, and Upson.
