With nearly 20 years of teaching under her belt, Lorrie Wallace is a STEM-loving educator that specializes in instructional technology.
Mrs. Lorrie believes that learning should be fun.
“I always provide a fun and engaging learning experience for students. It’s not uncommon for me to come up with songs, chants, or stories on the spot to enhance the lesson for the class that I’m serving. I am very adaptable and can switch gears on the fly if needed. Not only are the lessons fun, but also relational; I utilize prior knowledge to make connections to the concepts and Georgia Standards of Excellence,” says Mrs. Wallace.
As an Instructional Technology Specialist, “I’m happy that we at Learning Power can still serve the students of Georgia through our highly engaging virtual lessons.”
Lorrie Wallace serves Carol County, Douglas County, Haralson County, Heard County, Paulding County, and Polk County.
When Mrs. Lorrie isn’t in the classroom, she’s reading books and listening to music. She loves all genres of music. Another fun fact about Mrs. Lorrie: Some people name their plants but Lorrie names her cars. She’s currently driving Tessa. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, her two godchildren, and her granddog, Tulip (a Chihuahua and Whippet mix).
Mrs. Wallace has a Bachelor of General Studies with an Early Childhood Education Certification from Armstrong State University. She received a Master of Education in Educational Technology from Lesley University. She has a Gifted Certification and is a Professional Development Specialist for the Childhood Development Association. Currently, Mrs. Wallace is pursuing a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Augusta University and is expected to complete it in December 2021.
