Denise James calls herself an open book who never meets a stranger.

“I bring my bubbly personality to any learning environment. I set the stage for engagement by being personable, knowledgeable, and relatable. I would say my enthusiasm for the kids and material is unmistakably infectious in any classroom I’m in,” says Denise James.
Denise James is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Master of Science in Sociology, and Education Specialist in Teacher Leadership.
Prior to her position with Georgia Power, Denise taught high school Science in South Georgia and served as a cheerleading coach. In addition to her teaching career, Denise served as a facilitator for Project Learning Tree, a program that uses trees and the forest to increase student’s understanding of the environment and conservation methods to save them.
James serves the following counties: Atkinson, Bacon, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Coffee, Cook, Colquitt, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Tift, and Thomas.
