Deborah Pendergrass

Coordinator

Deborah Pendergrass has served as a community liaison for Georgia Power for many years.

Prior to becoming one of Georgia Power’s first Energy Efficiency Education Coordinators, she was a Distribution Support Representative with the company.

In this position, she worked closely with the Georgia Power Metro West Region Management team.  As a result, she seamlessly integrated her relationships to serve many teachers and students since Learning Power’s inception.

“I support the individual needs of educators by providing resources and tools that assist in making what seems like complicated, abstract concepts into tangible, everyday knowledge. My goal is to foster a sense of confidence in students,” says Deborah Pendergrass.

It’s for this very reason that many know Pendergrass as the Georgia Power Lady.

“I’m a firm believer that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,” says Deborah.  Pendergrass knows from experience that Georgia Power can help students with that.  Students will not only receive something STEM-related but a broader understanding of what they can do after their school career within Georgia’s workforce.

Deborah is a graduate of Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She serves the Metro West Region which includes Cherokee County, Cobb County and Marietta City Schools.

Debbie, as her friends call her, is also an amazing cook. She loves trying new recipes with her granddaughter, Journee.
