Ashley Thomas

Coordinator

Ready to spark curiosity and connections. Meet Ashley Thomas.

With over 17 years of teaching experience, Ashley is passionate about STEM education and its power to inspire the next generation of thinkers and doers. He believes that STEM fuels curiosity, creativity, and the technical skills that drive Georgia’s future.

Most recently, Ashley brought energy and excitement to 8th grade students at Hahira Middle School in Lowndes County Schools. Always striving to make learning relevant, Ashley integrates STEM and workforce readiness into every lesson. “As an educator, my mission is to spark curiosity—connecting what students know with the skills and knowledge that will launch them into a bright, sustainable future.”

Ashley will be delivering energy efficiency and STEM lessons across Baker, Brooks, Calhoun, Clay, Colquitt, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Lee, Lowndes, Miller, Mitchell, Quitman, Randolph, Seminole, Terrell, Thomas, and Worth counties.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Valdosta State University and his Master of Education in Education Leadership from Georgia Southern University. He is also a Google Certified Educator.

Outside the classroom, Ashley and Brenna, his wife of 25 years, enjoy cheering on the ‘Noles at Florida State games and exploring the great outdoors—hunting, fishing, and making memories with their family. Their sons, Joshua (a Meter Tech Apprentice with Georgia Power) and Caleb (an engineering student at Mississippi State University) are pursuing bright futures of their own.
