Wendy Joiner is a fourth-generation educator with nearly two decades of teaching science under her belt.
“We all learn differently. I incorporate real-life experiences and examples with hands-on, tactile learning modalities to reinforce energy efficiency concepts. This helps me to identify and play on the strengths of students. Students need to feel like they can make things, create, and innovate,” says Wendy Joiner.
Ms. Joiner obtained an Associates Degree in Science from Darton College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Reinhardt University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is bilingual with Spanish as a second language. She is a Gifted Certified Educator and has an English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement.
Wendy is a music enthusiast. Getting to hold a real-life Grammy in her hands was one of her most unforgettable moment. She’s a pet mommy of two dogs: Riley, a Cocker Spaniel named after the late B.B. King, whose real name is Riley B. King; and Marley, a Cocker Spaniel-Lab Mix, who was, of course, named after Bob Marley.
Wendy Joiner serves approximately 20 counties of Southwest Georgia. These counties include Baker, Calhoun, Crisp, Decatur, Dooly, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Lee, Miller, Mitchell, Randolph-Clay, Sumter, Seminole, Terrell, Turner, Quitman, Webster, and Worth.
