As a firm believer that knowledge is power, Teresa Cobb always wanted to be an influential educator. She has a myriad of educational work experience as a training consultant, adult education instructor, classroom teacher, assistant principal, and currently a Learning Power Education Supervisor and Coordinator.
“As a former classroom teacher, I know it’s a privilege to share the teacher’s instructional time. When I’m invited into a classroom, each student is my priority. I gain their trust and engage them in a meaningful learning experience. It’s all about building sustainable relationships with all stakeholders to support Georgia’s future workforce,” says Teresa Cobb.
Cobb will hook and win over students in the first few minutes of her presentation. She combines high energy along with her wealth of knowledge to engage a pool of diverse learners in all grades and age groups. Each student will obtain the ability to apply the concepts in their everyday life.
When it comes to teaching energy efficiency, Teresa says, “It’s all about using real-world examples to connect the dots and bridge the knowledge gaps.”
Teresa Cobb is a graduate of Augusta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She received her Master of Educational Leadership from Troy State University and additional educational certifications from Augusta State University. She is currently enrolled in the Educational Leadership Specialist program at Augusta University.
Prior to joining Georgia Power, she was an Assistant Principal at a Waynesboro, GA school.
Teresa is the Learning Power Education Coordinator for Georgia’s East Region serving schools in Columbia, Glascock, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, and Warren.
