Crystal Godfrey

Coordinator

Crystal Godfrey has served schools and communities as an energy educator for over a decade.

Crystal began her teaching career as a high school history teacher at Ware County High School. She then transitioned to an Energy Educator where she worked with the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension for the Weatherization Assistance Program in Clinch County.  In this role, she collaborated with local community action agencies and Georgia Environmental Financial Authority (GEFA).

Ms. Godfrey considers herself an open book and an excellent communicator. She’s an extroverted nurturer who values connection and community building. Needless to say, she adds great value to the lessons and concepts taught in any classroom. Each lesson will be extremely upbeat, energizing, and fun— regardless of grade level.

As a Learning Power Education Coordinator, “I’m passionate about the Learning Power program and energy efficiency, and that passion shines through in my excitement and energy.”

When Ms. Crystal isn’t in the classroom, she’s making a big southern home-cooked meal for her two sons, Rayce and Knox. She enjoys traveling, whether it’s to a tropical island or overseas to Europe. But she’s looking forward to doing more domestic traveling as long as it’s a new place to explore. She’s currently planning a trip to Yellowstone National Park for her and her boys.

Crystal Godfrey serves the counties of: Appling, Bacon, Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Glynn, Long, McIntosh, Pierce, Ware and Wayne, as Learning Power Education Coordinator.

Crystal received a Bachelor of Arts in History and her Master of Science in Foundations of Education from Troy State University.
